Story
We are taking it upon ourselves to make this justgiving page for a very good friend of ours Clare Grady-Lennon (35) who is in a battle with stage 4 Melanoma (the most aggresive form of skin cancer) which at the moment there is no cure for. After several operations and 2 clinical trials this unfortunatly has had no effect as of yet. Clare chucked herself into research when she was diagnosed in October 2017 and started taking alternative therapys which unfortunatly the NHS do not provide and is very costly. Clare was very let down by the NHS which she worked for when they stoped her wages after 1 month of being on the sick. Clare and her husband Matt who is self emolyed and have 3 young children are trying their best to make life as normal as possible for their children, as Clare just does not know how long she will be here for them. All Clare wants is to make as many happy memories with her family as possible, without the alternative therapy Clare struggles with the day to day living of a normal life. She struggles to do the things we all take for granted. Clare is a very proud person and will not ask for help but as friends this is breaking us seeing her struggle both physically and financially. We want to raise money so that Clare, Matt, Caitlin, Ciaran and Shay can have days out and holidays ect without the pain and finanical stuggle, Clare has raised money for cancer charities now its our time to raise money for her! Cancer can affect everyone and anyone anytime and it ruins lifes, so please donate to make the little things that little bit easier for our friend. Thank you for taking the time to read our story xx
