Story
Built in 1903, Claremont pier has stood for almost 120 years as 1 of the key features at the heart of Lowestoft. Over the years this beloved structure has taken a battering, be it from WWII, when the front 90 feet was cut away to reduce the risk of Germany using it to land, or from mother nature herself battering waves against it for over a century. We now feel that is time to bring the pier back to its former glory, and therefore ask for your help to make this happen.
Our aim is to make the first 60 metres of the deck useable once again, and we are looking for £50,000 in sponsorship to help us make this happen.
If you're lucky enough to of visited Claremont pier in its heyday (or know someone that did), we're sure you have a story about it. Our aim is to ensure those stories are able to live on in the next generations and beyond.
There are only 56 remaining in England/ Britain, so hopefully, with your help, we can protect and restore 1 of the few remaining treasures in our country.
Thank you

Be great to have this open and actually expand beyond the railings that are currently blocking the rest of the pier
