Help Spire Inclusion raise £2,000 for simulated baby dolls
At Spire Inclusion, we support adults with learning disabilities to build independence, explore life choices and learn practical skills. We’re raising £2,000 to buy simulated baby dolls and learning resources for our parenting education sessions.
Many people have questions about becoming a parent. They deserve accessible information and the chance to explore what caring for a baby involves. A simulated doll can help make that learning practical. With support from our staff, members can practise holding, feeding, changing and settling a baby, while talking through interrupted sleep, safety, daily routines, money and the support a parent may need.
The sessions will give people space to ask questions, try things out and reflect on the responsibilities of parenting. The aim is to support informed choices, never to make those choices for anyone. Taking part will be voluntary and adapted to each person’s needs and understanding.
Your donation will help us buy the dolls and resources we need to offer these sessions at Spire Inclusion. If you can contribute, please help us reach our £2,000 target. Sharing this page would mean a great deal too.
Thank you for supporting accessible, practical learning and the people we work with.
