Story
What began as a simple hobby restoring old boats for the love of sailing and traditional craftsmanship slowly became something more. We started rescuing boats others had given up on, not because it made financial sense, but because it felt wrong to see them abandoned, broken up, or burned for firewood.
As word spread, more boats appeared, and more people began to take an interest. Friends, neighbours, and fellow sailors stopped by to help, share stories, or learn how these boats were built. What started as a personal passion became a small, growing community around saving them.
The restorations became more ambitious, and the costs grew with them. Materials, moorings, transport, and specialist work all add up. Rather than walking away, we chose to turn our hobby into a small, purpose driven business, one that exists simply to cover costs and keep these boats sailing long into the future.
This crowdfunding campaign is not about profit. It is about preservation and participation. Our aim is to restore more boats, save them from ending up on the fire or in the scrapyard, and actively involve the local community, through open working days, shared sailing, volunteering, and passing on practical skills that are fast disappearing.
By supporting us, you are not just helping restore boats. You are helping build a community around them, keeping maritime heritage alive, working, and accessible for generations to come.
