I've raised £1000 to Help raise money for Mesothelioma UK.

In August 2016 my husband Steve was diagnosed with Mesothelioma which is a form of cancer contracted by exposure to asbestos and there is unfortunately no cure. Steve was in the building trade for over 30 years, it was a job he loved.
He was a very fit and healthy man and never had one day off work until after a visit to the doctors because of a persistent cough, he was then given the dreadful news. It was a very aggressive form of cancer with a prognosis usually of two to five years, however Steve passed away just 12 months after diagnosis. There is still very little known about this disease and at times the clinical teams that Steve was under just didn't know what treatment to give him.
Mesothelioma UK is a charity that is overlooked so we are wanting to raise funds so other people don't suffer as Steve did. 83% of our schools still have asbestos in the buildings and unfortunately more school teachers are dying each year from this disease. The charity desperately needs funds for more clinical trials and to help get more specialist Nurses throughout the UK.
A group of us; myself, Christina, Alex, Scott, Lauren, Gabs, Jen, Cal, Dan & Danny will be taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks in August to raise as much money as possible for Mesothelioma UK! We have been on plenty of practice walks across Yorkshire so hoping we can complete the Peaks in under 12 hours! 💫
Please give as much as you can, we will appreciate every penny.
