Story

From Yateley United FC (via Facebook, 6th Aug 2021)

We have this week received the invoice from the Bailiffs the club had to employ to evict the recent illegal encampment on our ground at Sean Devereux Park. This totalled over £5,000 which, coupled with the financial cost of replacement of the padlock and the volunteer hours undertaking the clean-up of the disgusting mess they left behind, has hit the club hard. As a club, we spend a great deal of time and effort, performed entirely by volunteers, in raising funds to take the club forward in both its provision of football for our 20 youth and 6 adult teams and the creation of a Community Sports and Wellness Centre for use by our community. It is extremely frustrating and disappointing that the funds raised will now have to cover these extra costs.

All donations will be payable to Yateley United FC upon completion of the fundraise.
