Story
Please help to make Christmas in Cleveleys a special festive community time this year!
Decorating Cleveleys at Christmas is notoriously difficult for one reason and another, hence why it's not been especially festive in past years. However, this year the local community is working together to change that! We've had our thinking caps on, joined forces and we're on a mission to make Cleveleys Christmassy.
Will you join in? The more people who do the better it will be!
2019 is the year when the Cleveleys Community Reclaims Christmas! Christmas Cheer in Cleveleys, the Association of Traders and the Coastal Community Team are working together. They're asking churches, schools, community groups, retailers and individuals to join in.
All the details of what's happening and how you can join in are here
- Christmas Cheer in Cleveleys is fundraising - to put lights in the planters and subsidise little Christmas trees above the shops
- The Association of Traders is holding a Snowman competition
- The Coastal Community Team is making recycled decorations to trim up the town
- North Fylde Rotary Club is hosting Santa in the town centre
More details and updates in the Care for Cleveleys Facebook group.
Our Target
Please dig deep and be generous this year! This is just a target to take care of Christmas 2019.
Any surplus funds will be invested in Christmas 2020. Hopefully we will be able to progress the installation of street trees, with a view to them being trimmed up with lights too.
Prefer to donate in cash?
You can also make a donation by popping into Phillips Jewellers on Cleveleys high street. It's the one at the right of Home Bargains.

4 years agoThank you to everyone who has donated to this fundraiser, we're going to close it and withdraw the funds in the next few days. Could you give it one last share on your own social media pages? Christmas Cheer also received a donation from Cleveleys Community Church Centre of £200. Scarlett and Marie have also been working hard to raise funds and have raised another £500-ish at two Christmas fairs they organised. Raffle tickets are still on sale and that will raise some more, so you've not far off reached the £900 target.

5 years agoYou're so kind, your generosity will help us to make Cleveleys look really festive this year. The elves are also hard at work making recycled decorations. It's very therapeutic if you fancy giving it a go

I'm involved in lots of things in Cleveleys - the Coastal Community Team, the Rossall Beach Group, Christmas and a whole lot more. I also publish Visit Cleveleys/Visit Fylde Coast. I love where I live and I want to make and keep it special. Please join in - it's good fun too!
