Story
As many of you now know I lost my big brother very recently. For anyone that didn’t know Kyle. He was the one guy you just felt you could open up to from the very first moment you met him, and he would listen and give great advice. If you needed help, even if it put him in a worse position, he would do it without any second thought no matter who you are. There aren’t many people left like my big brother. He was a very proud, but sometimes stubborn lad 😂 He didn't want to burden others with his problems and I think he felt he couldn't show vulnerability by talking about them. So, during the rough periods that he went through in his life, unfortunately he turned to alcohol instead. Sadly, this affected his health over time and has eventually resulted in us losing him at the young age of 35. I cannot possibly explain to you the size of the hole that has been left in all of our hearts 💔
We all have different ways of coping with the stress that every day life brings us. For me personally I have found the gym, fitness and playing football etc to be my release. These are the places I can go and just forget every single struggle in my life and just enjoy being there. I can’t stop thinking about the positive impact it could have on peoples lives, who are also struggling, if I could push them to become more active in any way, shape or form.
For these reasons, I have decided to attempt the ‘3 peak challenge’ with some of my family and a couple of Kyle’s best friends. This is going to be physically the toughest thing I’ve personally ever done. We will climb the 3 largest mountains in the UK (Ben Nevis, Scaffell Pike and Snowdon all within the space of 24/36 hours) We’re doing this with the aim to raise money for a charity called MIND. They support those struggling with mental health, in particular those that battle addictions. I feel this is the perfect charity to represent for my brother. I would really appreciate any donations at all and if you’re not in the position to donate if you could just share this post for me it would genuinely mean the world. Thank you all in advance. I hope we’re making you proud up there bro 🕊
