I've raised £300 to take on Pretty Muddy 5k!
Organised by Hayley Truelove
It is important for older adults to get some stimulation, sunshine and social interaction. That’s why care homes try to offer day trips and external social events to their residents.
It provides a sense of freedom and fun that promotes a sense of well-being. Visiting a much-loved place or even having a paddle in the sea are simple pleasures but are particularly meaningful to older people, helping them to regain a sense of their lost childhood.
This is why ... staff members at The Clitheroe home will be taking part in the Pretty Muddy 5k run on the 22nd of September to raise funds to take the residents out on a day trip.
