My name is Clive, and I’m making an urgent appeal for help for a young family whose lives have been turned upside down in the most heartbreaking way.

The photos you see are of Lily, a brave and beautiful little girl, the much-loved daughter of Ryan and Amy.

At just two years old, and only weeks away from her third birthday, Lily is facing a devastating illness that no child should ever have to endure.

Last week, her condition suddenly became critical. She was placed on a ventilator and life support and underwent an emergency procedure to place a tube into her heart valve. Since then, Lily has also been put on kidney dialysis, with a line placed directly into her chest, something so overwhelming for such a tiny little girl.

Instead of celebrating her birthday, Lily is fighting for her life in hospital.

Her parents are completely heartbroken, staying by her side every single moment, as any parent would. The emotional toll is unimaginable, and alongside that, the financial pressure is quickly building. Unable to work, they are still facing the everyday costs of living—bills, food, and constant travel to and from the hospital.

Ryan, who dedicates his spare time volunteering at Port Talbot Lifeboat Station, is now facing the hardest chapter of his life as he supports his family through this crisis.

Lily is expected to remain in hospital for at least 3 to 6 months. There is still uncertainty ahead, including ongoing dialysis and the possibility of further surgery. The road ahead is long, and the strain on this young family is immense.
