Story
Time has stopped. Many people say this about the beautiful village of Bradenham near High Wycombe, but in this case, it has - literally. Our clock has stopped. For over 600 years, the clock on the church tower has beat out the time, marking passages of birth, marriages and death. Although repaired many times, it is now needing a comprehensive overhaul and the church, which receives no funding for repairs from the Church of England, simply can't afford the £3600 needed to buy a new motor, put up a scaffolding, and paint the clock face, first done when Charles II was on the throne! Anyone who donates will have their name recorded in a Benefactors Book which will be kept in the church. so your name too will live in time. Can you help to get our clock ticking again? Even a little will enable people rushing to work to be on time again; even a little will show you care about the past; even a little will make the heart of a little piece of England beat again!
