Story
Knife Crime is a topic that I hold dear to my having having lost someone close to me a few years ago. In London alone this year, there has been over 100 deaths that have been of the result of a knife. These numbers are still steadily rising.
Without question, we can all agree that government cuts have resulted in many youth centres been closed and after school activities have ceased. It means that it is now up to us, the citizens of London to do something that would help give our youths something to do rather than wander the streets of London.
A friend of mine has found a building in South London consisting of 2 rooms, a bathroom and small kitchen. The plan is to offer services from counselling to activities free of charge to those living within the community. The rooms would be available to anyone who wants to use them without paying a fee. All that we ask is a contribution to help pay for the rent which is currently set at £800 p/m with the chance of it being decreased to £600 p/m.
