Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
It has been 3 years since i started this initiative. Its 2018 and this year were back bigger and better.
In the summer of 2015, i held my very first Help the homeless campaign. I and a small group of volunteers walked the streets of Central London looking for those who where homeless. Having spent some time talking to them, i realized just how blessed i am to be able to come home everyday to food sitting on the dining able and a warm bed to sleep in. Listening to the stories of those who became homeless broke my heart. Small situations that they fell in to can happen to anyone of us overnight.
The winter of 2017 was one of the coldest this country has ever seen. The cold lasted well until April of 2018 where we experienced cold showers and spells of snow. I and a group of 10 volunteers split up into groups of 3 around central london handing out survival packs to help keep the homeless safe and warm. No one was prepared for the brutal british weather. This year i want to do things differently.
The aim of this project is to help the homeless during this winter period. The centre idea is: to pack backpacks containing scarfs, gloves and hats as well as small toiletries such as dry shampoo and sanitary towels for the ladies. In addition to that i would like to have a smaller pack of hot food and snacks that can at least get them through the night.
The last project we targeted 30 people. This year im trying to raise more funds to help at least 60 individuals.
