Story
Clr Chris O'Donnell is this years Chairman of Malvern Hills District Council. During this time I have worked hard to use this role to help raise awareness and funds for my chosen charities.
Chris want's your help to reach her final goal of £10,000 for two amazing Worcestershire Charities.
I have supported St Richards Hospice for many years. In fact this year I walked the St Richards Malvern Hills sponsored walk for the 20th time. That has to be some sort of record. St Richards is a local community charity that provides care for terminal patients within the Worcestershire area. The work they do is invaluable and brings comfort to so many people and their families.
I also support a centre in Malvern that provides support to over 300 children and their families who are coping with additional or special needs. What Makes You Different Makes You Beautiful (WMYDMYB) is a truly wonderful centre for our community.
Both these causes are very close to my heart. I have a grandson who is Autistic who loves the WMYDMYB centre.
My daughter was sadly diagnosed with Aggressive Breast Cancer during December 2017 and I have had to give much of my time to caring for her children while she has been battling with her treatment meaning that it has been so much harder to reach my final target of £10,000. We are just a little way off that goal so this is really aimed at us making that final bit up.
