Story
Here is our website address: www.clynfyw.co.uk
We call ourselves a Care Farm, supporting vulnerable people and wider community regeneration with a focus on resilience in the face of the climate catastrophe to ensure no one is marginalised in the future.
We have lots of projects!
Each is designed to give people meaningful things to do each day, whether it is through the community apple juicing service in the autumn, the numeracy and literacy schemes, the repair cafe, the charcoal making in the summer, the vermicomposting scheme or the new farm shop we are opening this winter. We try to keep it busy and fun and engaging and with as many positive aspects as we can along the way.
A few years ago we started reclaiming unwanted wheelchairs and mobility aids which we fix up and send out to friends in Durban, South Africa and Nairobi in Kenya.
This year we are seeking sponsorship for a virtual 5,800mile cycle ride on exercise bikes riding from here to Nairobi.
Can you help!

Clynfyw Care Farm
2 years agoA much slower week this week and we are now just over half way through Serbia at 1619 miles from Clynfyw on our weary way to Nairobi. We are clearly slowing up a bit both in terms of mileage and sponsorship....and we need to get a wriggle on! A plan is evolving to organise an All Welcome Sponsored Bike Ride in the summer, maybe from Cilgerran to Poppit for a Barby on the Beach, but we need help to organise it. Are you able to help!?!?!??! If so, please get in touch. (jim.clynfyw@gmail.com). Should be fun!

2 years agoAt 1564 (virtual) miles, we are moving further down Serbia following the beautiful Danube river. We have just passed Belgrade, heading south on the E75 and are now passing Smederevo. Belgrade is the capital of the southeast European country of Serbia. Its most significant landmark is the Beogradska Tvrđava, an imposing fortress at the confluence of the Danube and the Sava rivers. The fort is a testament to the city’s strategic importance to the Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman, Serbian and Austrian empires. So now you know!

3 years agoSpeedy update! Current mileage is 1458. Well into Serbia having passed Subotica and on our way to Novi Sad. Picture attached and info on website. www.clynfyw.co.uk The next update should include a big jump forward as Peter cycled over 40kms yesterday on his own, and we have volunteers cycling into work too which all helps! If you would like to come in to cycle a few miles with us and have a cuppa and a chat too, you'd be most welcome! Cheers
