    Story

With your help, we are looking to raise funds for two local causes,:

CUMBERLAND INFIRMARY PAEDIATRIC DEPARTMENT which has looked after Elizabeth since her diagnosis with Type 1 Diabetes in 2012. Funds donated to this unit will be used as they see fit to best suit their needs.

TANZANIAN LINK - WILLIAM HOWARD SCHOOL: Elizabeth has committed to be part of this link and will travel over to Tanzania next year (which will be funded privately). As part of the link, we are raising funds to sponsor a 'link student' from Tanzania to be able to travel over the UK as part of a continued link between the area.

There are two events we will undertake:

SEPTEMBER 9th/10th: RAT RACE COAST TO CAOST CHALLENGE where my brother and I will run, bike and kayak 105miles cross country on paths, roads and lochs from Nairn (Inverness) to Glencoe.

OCTOBER Half Term: BIKING COAST TO COAST CHALLENGE where Elizabeth and I will bike circa 90miles across roads following 'bike route 72' from Silloth to Whitley bay!

Coast to Coast Day 2, Sunday 10th September: Bike 31.7miles 2h50mins, Run 15.1miles 3h44mins, Kayak TBC. Horrible weather - is should be called the River Rat Race Coast to Coast event - water everywhere and running off the mountains down the paths we were running on (turns out we ran part of the west highland way)...in a sadistic way, still not too bad....until we got to the kayaking where it was a little choppy!
