Story
When ex-EADT Editor Terry Hunt suffered a cardiac arrest, he was saved by a paramedic with a defibrillator and a member of the public carrying out CPR. Terry and his sister, Karen Chamberlain, are doing the 60-mile Suffolk Coastal Walk to buy more defibrillators for Suffolk.

6 years agoHi everyone. Well, we did it! We arrived at the Landguard car park in Felixstowe at 4.30pm on Tuesday. Never has a car park been a more welcome sight! Our walk covered four days, and 61 miles - without a blister for either of us! Much more importantly, thanks to the generosity of more than 120 people and organisations, we've raised over £6,000.00. It will buy four life-saving defibs - three for Ipswich and one for Framlingham. Thank you all so much. Love from Terry and Karen xx

Thank you both for not only raising finance in order to purchase AED`s but raising the profile of need. There is a need as you well know, public AED`s are in short supply but straightforward to use.

Well done for this excellent initiative. Perhaps St John Ambulance could hold an evening to show what to do with one.
