We have recently gone independent and joined a organisation which is in line with the volunteer work we carry out, our safety observations along the coastal waters and shoreline along the Conwy estuary have prevented the loss of life and ensured timely interventions for people who have put themselves in danger, we are very short of equipment like solar power, radio communications and weather station equipment, in addition we need help with administrative costs, our unit is rented and the cost is quite substantial. Our watchkeeper volunteers mostly retired persons from all walks of life are trained to a very high standard and have assisted over the last three years with many rescues, mostly from the notorious sand banks in the estuary, or using water craft unsuitable for coastal waters, we hope you will help us maintain our service to the local community and visitors and generously support our fundraising appeal.
