Story

Mohamad's family came to London in 2016 as refugees from Syria. Mohammad and his sister started attending our school in South East London straight away and the whole family have been part of our community ever since.

As part of Refugee week, we are raising money to help support Mohammad's relatives living as refugees in Lebanon. The situation in Lebanon is very difficult, with no social welfare system and a failing economy. This leaves the family with very few options for a source of income with him often asking his relatives in London for financial help.

Mohamed's uncle would like to be able to support his family buy selling coffee on the street with a coffee cart.

It will cost $900 to buy the cart so we would like to raise £1000 to help buy the cart plus some supplies to get his business off and running.

This coffee cart will give the family in Lebanon a source of income to pay rent, buy food and send their children to school.

We're also running a "Coffee for a Coffee Cart" cake sale on Thursday 23rd June.

Thank you so much for your support.
