Story

Cohen and myself are raising money for Hannah's Hedgehog Rehabilitation by taking part in the 3 Counties Cycling Ride that is taking place on Sunday 8th June 2025 in Bracknell Town. Cohen is 8 years old and will be cycling 34 miles for charity!! Due to him being so young, I have decided to do it with him for support along the way. Anyone that knows Cohen knows biking is his passion and he was more than happy to take this big challenge on. He's ridden long distance before at the age of 4, raising over £1000 for Sir Captain Tom Moore when he sadly passed away. I know he can smash this new challenge. Hannah's Hedgehog Rehabilitation has been personally chosen by Cohen due to his love for animals, particularly the iconic Hedgehog.

Hannah is a vet with a passion for wildlife, especially Hedgehogs. She is Farnborough based and many of you have probably heard of her, maybe even used her services and seen the amazing work she does for our hedgehogs. She is fully self funded and relies on public donations to help her care for all her patients. In 2020 she converted her garage into a hospital/hedgehog sanctuary. And this is where she carries out her work, caring for hedgehogs in her spare time. Every year, more and more hedgehogs are brought into rescues ill and injured. Hannahs goal is to treat as many hedgehogs as she can and then once recovered re release back into the wild. Not many people realise, but due to the serious decline over the years, the hedgehog is now considered vulnerable to extinction in the UK. They need our help! Cohen was lucky enough to meet Hannah and she showed him her set up at home in her garage and he got to see some of her patients. Cohens grandparents have used Hannahs services several times now.

Myself and Cohen would be eternally grateful for any donations to this page which will go directly to Hannah after the event. All donations Hannah receives goes towards caring for the hedgehogs, food, medicine and medical equipment. If you are on Facebook, please take a look at her Facebook page where you will see daily updates on all her patients and how she cares for them. You can really see how much of her time and love is dedicated to these lovely little spikey creatures. She really does an incredible job! She also has a website you can visit https://www.hannahshedgehogrehabilitation.com/about-the-rescue
