Swansea City match day announcer, veteran DJ, pantomime dame and all round entertainer, oh and charity dynamo - Kevin Johns is a local legend.

Unfortunately Kev suffered a stroke earlier this year and is currently waging a heroic battle to learn to walk and talk again - and as a freelance entertainer relying on his voice, this has had a devastating effect on his life, robbing him of the chance to work and earn.

Kev has always been there for A Touch Far Vetched, hosting numerous charity events for us, just as he has done for very many other charities and good causes over many years...

...and so we at A Touch Far Vetched want to give something back to this legendary figure.

And so we will be supporting Kevin by launching our Coins for Kev campaign which will run throughout the Swans' 2026/27 season. The Editor will be leading from the front, pledging £1 for every Championship goal and point the Swans plunder throughout the season.

We'll run some further fundraising raffles and events too, and hope to raise enough to at least make life a little less stressful as he battles back to full fitness.

Of course, we would love YOU to contribute too - we'd love the Jack Army and the people of Swansea show Kev just how loved he is!
