Story

I am raising money to help buy a minibus for Trafford Voluntary Police Cadets.

Cadets volunteer to pack shopping bags to raise money to take them on days out, but it’s usually small amounts, therefore I'm raising the money through 'Just Giving' .

VPC leaders rely on a minibus to get the cadets to and from drill evenings, which allows them to attend events, camp sites, and competitions that can be further afield. In addition, they offer cadets basic first aid training and a chance to participate in the Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh Awards. Sometimes the leaders can only

take a small number of the cadets due to the lack of transport. With additional transport, all cadets will be given the chance to participate in the events currently taking place. We would greatly appreciate any sponsorship and in return, we will include your name on the minibus.

About VPC:

Volunteer Police Cadets are found in a growing number of cities, towns and communities across the UK offering great opportunities to young people aged 13 -18 years.

We welcome cadets from any background, social group, gender, ethnicity, ability/disability and whether you have an interest in the police or not.

We welcome young people who may have previously been in trouble with the police or may feel some disconnection with their peers and community.

We are not only looking to recruit future police officers, but want to give all young people a chance to be heard, support their community and develop skills to become fantastic citizens in a fun, friendly and exciting way.

There is nothing else like the VPC - it is a unique experience for young people to become part of the policing family for many years.

Thank you for your time in reading this request, and hopefully I we can raise the money.
