I've raised £250 to provide local refugees, asylum seekers & homeless football players with warm clothing for use during the winter months.

Since we started our Football For Everyone project 2 years ago, we have relied on people donating their old kit and coats/jumpers in order for us to pass on to refugees, asylum seekers and the homeless to wear during the sessions. As the project has grown in the last year, we’ve increasingly struggled to meet demand - particularly as our stock of donated clothes has dried up . We are now at the point where we can’t promise we have the right clothes for everyone, with people wearing the wrong sizes or wearing boots that are falling apart and are taped up or superglued.
Asking for monetry help is something we feel quite awkward about doing as we want to be as self-sustaining as possible and for the past two years we have been. However, the problem with coaching a team of mostly pennyless men is that they do not have money to buy themselves food, nevermind a coat or jumper to keep them warm in the winter.
We often have lads turning up in jeans and a t shirt as they dont have anything else to wear. We do help were we can and frequently buy the lads things out of our own money but coats/jumpers are never cheap unfortunately. So reluctantly, here we are, asking if you can help by donating as little or as much as you want. It really will ensure these lads are safe and can continue playing football in the winter months
