Story
One Storm. One People. Jamaica Stand Tall.
Why I’m Raising Money for Jamaica
As Storm Melissa devastates parts of Jamaica, my heart is heavy thinking of the lives disrupted—families displaced, homes destroyed, and communities left struggling in its aftermath. In times like these, the spirit of unity, strength, and compassion must rise higher than any storm.
This cause is deeply personal to me.
My parents came to the UK from Jamaica during the Windrush era, bringing with them not just dreams, but the resilience, culture, and strength of the Jamaican spirit. That spirit lives in me. Jamaica is not just a place—it’s part of who I am.
A Song of Hope and Unity
In response to the storm, I’ve written a tribute song titled “One Storm, One People – Jamaica Stand Tall.” This track celebrates Jamaica’s unbreakable spirit, its rich culture, and its power to rise, no matter how fierce the winds.
As a thank you, I’m offering this song free to everyone who donates. It’s a gift from the heart—a message of hope and solidarity.
Your Donation Matters
All funds raised will go directly to trusted relief efforts supporting the people affected by Melissa—providing emergency aid, shelter, food, clean water, and help with rebuilding what’s been lost.
This is our chance to give back to a land that has given the world so much—through its music, culture, people, and strength.
Together, We Stand Tall
We are one people—wherever we are in the world. And together, we can make a real difference.
“Jamaica—we are one people. Brave and strong. Always ready to fight any storm.”Thank you for your support, for sharing this cause, and for helping Jamaica stand tall once again.
With love and respect,
Colin Cesvette
