I've raised £500 to Help with rising running costs of running an adult football team, Beith Amateurs FC. This will see us into our 41st year of community fitba.

There are so many good causes out there so I am really just appealing to those who know how hard it is to keep adult amateur sports teams going. The club was formed in 1977 and has played a vital part in the town of Beith, providing playing and training opportunities to a wide section of the community for over 40 years.
Each year it gets harder to attract sponsorship. We have a small but hard working committee who work hard to provide the best for the squad of young (some old) men. League Fee's, training and pitch hire, Strips, training gear and referee costs to name but a few of the running costs attached to running a team.
We are part of a larger community club and have a vital role in keeping players in the game after youth football if they don't progress to professional through Beith Juniors Community FC. Our team helps players stay in the game longer. Our players help throughout the years at various charity and town events.
I have ran the Glasgow half marathon the last 4 years and enjoyed it even though it has always been the day after a match. This year I am running the Stirling half the day after our last game of the season. I want to give something back to my team who have been good to me over the last 10 years. If you can spare a small donation I,m sure it will add up to a healthy contribution and go a long way to setting the team up for their 41st season as every donation no matter how big or small will be appreciated.
