I've raised £200 to Salford Recovery Guitar Group

My Dad, Barry Seddon recently passed away very suddenly. It was a surprise to us all as he was busy living life to the full and had become an active member of many Salford-based community groups including choirs, drama groups and writing groups. One group he talked about a lot was Salford Recovery Guitar Group who meet regularly at The Orchard. They are self-funded and struggle to pay for guitars for newcomers, guitar cases and even the strings and maintenance for their existing guitars. They once had funding to pay a guitar teacher but, since that ran out, the group has been very ably led by Roy Kay. The group has provided a calm and safe environment for many people experiencing difficulties at a hard time in their lives. What better way to heal than through the shared experience of music?
