Story
At the weekend I was informed that due to the Covid situation in India and the knock0on impact on Nepal that the Everest Marathon for 2021 has been cancelled. Gutted as you can imagine.
However I am still scheduled to compete in the Tokyo Marathon in March 2022. Thanks for all your support.
I can confirm that as of 13 April 2021 this race is ON!! I have been able to re-book my trip and ssubject to being able to fly on 17 May I will be running the Mount Everest Marathon on 29 May. As long as I am able to fly on 17 May and that the current entry rules to Nepal don't change I will be going! Thanks for all your support, Colin
Did long run on Sunday 11 April - 22 miles and felt good after the run and the day after - so things seem to be going well.
I am running the the world's highest and toughest marathon - Mount Everest Marathon - on 29 May 2021 to raise money for Oldham Cancer Support which is a voluntary organisation which provides day to day support to families of people of all ages who have been diagnosed with cancer.
The adventure starts of with a 12 day acclimitization trek from Lukla to Everest Base Camp where on 29 May I will start the marathon.
Whilst my last 2 marathons have been completed in circa 4 hours, given the altitude, terrain and overall toughness I hope to complete this marathon in 8.5 hours.
