Story

Dave and I got married in 2015 and decided to start a family. Like most other people we never thought it would be an issue. 2 years later we began fertility investigations. It was discovered after surgery that I suffered from endometriosis and diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) and it was recommended that we go straight for an egg donor which we weren’t ready for.

We tried 2 rounds of clomid initially which resulted in 2 golf ball size cysts on both of my ovaries and another surgery to remove the cysts.

We were told we didn’t qualify for NhS funded IVF so decided to look at options abroad as it was a lot cheaper.

We went to spain and after meeting with the doctor all seemed positive. however more bad news. The doctors said things where worse than we had first thought and a donor egg would be our only option.

We still weren't ready to give up and decided to go for self funded ivf with our original specialist in the UK.

So following a course of tablets and injections, We managed to get 2 eggs. A day later we got a call to say that both had fertilized! 3 days later the hospital called again to say that everything was looking textbook and booked in for a day 5 transfer. The transfer was traumatic. It was discovered that I have a tilted cervix and they needed forceps to pull the cervix into the right place. But our perfect embryo was in there!

After a long 2 week wait We got a negative pregnancy test result.

We decided to go for round two straight away, But unfprtunately werent successful again. We have now spent £16k on IVF, remortgaged our house and can not afford to try again. We are praying for a miracle!

We have found an amazing new clinic that specialise in DOR and have the chance to try again with what we believe to be a much better chance of success. Please help us raise the £12,000 we need to have this chance ❤️
