HELLO TO WHOEVER IS READING THIS...
I am no good with words and have no idea how to write this, but here goes!
For as long as I can remember, I have felt different, even now, I try to fit in everywhere I go, but Im coming to the realisation that im not meant too, it is better to be different than to just go through life pretending to be someone I am not just because that's how society says so.
In 2019 I came out as non-binary, and made the decision to legally change my name, which has been one of the most grounding things for me, to finally match my name and gender identity to who I really am, something that, for a long time ive always been scared of just being myself.
When i first came out as NB on social-media, to my partner, friends and family, and it was just a huge sense of euphoria, and I know that being true to myself is one of the most important things.
My next step is top surgery, something that is essential for me, something that has played on my mind for years, and something that will make me internally happy. I have spent years trying to understand my feelings, and to finally be on the journey to surgery, its just an indescribable feeling.
SO fast forward to now, My surgery date is 9th of march 2022, with london trans clinic. my total surgery quote is £7020, but with consultations, specailist meetings and travel I am looking at about £8000. Just like anyone else in this position, I would pay 10x that if it means finally being comfortable in my own skin.
I have sold my soul and even climbed snowdon to raise money so far! with all of this i have managed to save/raise an amazing amount, and now only have £1550 left to pay by the end of february!
I’ve set this up for an opportunity for anyone that wants to help, friends family strangers! whoever you may be.
