Story

Basingstoke Town Colts Under 11's Dragon team are desperate to help the people of Ukraine affected by the war. The team have come up with an idea of a sponsored run; which will follow the route between the houses of all the players around the Basingstoke area and ending in the War Memorial park.

We plan to start around noon on 26th March from Old Basing. The run will be a relay format where each team member hands over to the next as they go from house to house. The whole course is 14 miles and I am expecting them to be able to complete this in 3 hours; with some gentle nudging from the coaches. I will be tracking their progress on my bike and the other coach Garry is planning to run the whole 14 miles with the boys. Some of the parents are also going to join part of the race and the big finish at the end.

All proceeds will go directly to the International Red Cross to assist them in their humanitarian mission in Ukraine and its neighbouring countries.

All donations welcome, big or small to reach our target of £500 which will make a difference to those that need it most. Thank you for your support.
