Elona is desperate to improve the playground in our village of Colton, Norfolk. She thinks it is really important that the children in our village have somewhere safe to meet and play, and somewhere exciting to play. The parish council have a small amount of funding but this covers very little equipment. We cannot apply for funding as we have only a 3 year lease of the land rather than 5 years needed by funding bodies. So, Elona has decided to fundraise!

1 year agoElona held the community fundraising event on Sunday 16th April. We were blown away by the support, so many people came together to make it a success. From the plants generously donated by Viking nurseries, to the donations by local companies, cakes made by me and Elona and teas and coffees served by Sue and Joyce, it was all a big hit. A fantastic £621 was raised at the event. We are grateful to everyone for making it a success by coming along and it was great to see the community of all ages using the amenity area on such a sunny day.

1 year agoElona has achieved £250 of donations and is planning the bakes for her bake sale. She has just made her poster to put up around the village to advertise her event on Sunday 16th April. Please try to support her event, she’s nervous no one will come!
