Story

Hi Everyone,

On May 10th, 2025, I will be taking on the challenge of tabbing 26 miles to raise awareness for Polymyalgia Rheumatica, Lymphoedema, and PTSD — causes very close to my heart.

I proudly served 23 years in the Coldstream Guards, and one of the things I enjoyed most was tabbing. Now, I’m determined to channel that passion into this challenge, which will push me both physically and mentally.

This isn’t just about the miles; it’s about raising awareness and making a difference. For the past three years, my incredible wife Di has been battling multiple debilitating autoimmune diseases, including Polymyalgia Rheumatica, Lymphoedema, and Hypothyroidism. Her health challenges have had a huge impact on our lives, and she is now classified as disabled.

At the same time, I’ve been living with PTSD, which presents its own daily struggles. Life has been incredibly tough, but this challenge is my way of turning those struggles into something positive.

Our other passion is football, and for the past 17 years, I’ve been coaching at Aston Clinton Colts JFC, a wonderful grassroots club that’s all about community and family. My wife has also been a huge part of the club, serving as Secretary for just as long.

We’ve decided that any money raised from this challenge will be donated to Aston Clinton Colts JFC, to help them buy much-needed equipment and continue to provide a safe and supportive space for young players to thrive. One of the most pressing issues facing grassroots football is the lack of funding. Local clubs, especially those operating in less affluent areas, often struggle to raise the necessary finances to run their teams and maintain their facilities

I know this will be a huge challenge for me, but I’m ready to give it everything I’ve got.

If anyone is interested in helping to promote this cause, assisting with logistics on the day, or supporting in any way, your help would mean the world to me. 😊

All I’ve got left to say is:

Head up, chest out, and feel proud. 👏

My ex-military mates will know exactly what I mean!

Thank you so much for your support!
