Story
We are hoping to purchase 20 new mountain bikes for the college to be able to continue to offer cycling as an activity in PE lessons and extra-curricular sessions.
The current bikes we have are now beyond repair and in desperate need of replacement. With replacement bikes costing £300 each, these funds will help us purchase new bikes to allow us to continue to offer this exceptional opportunity for all current students of CVC and future years.
As a Village college in a rural setting, we want to continue our promotion of being outdoors in the local community, whilst providing students with a great opportunity to participate in an activity that not only provides physical exercise but also gives lifelong skills such as road awareness and safety, bike maintenance, teamwork and communication.
To encourage support for our cause the PE Team our going to cycle the equivalent of Lands’ End to John O’Groats (874 miles) in a 24-hour period.
