My wonderful grandson Thomas was born prematurely and as a result has had cerebral palsy since he was a baby.
This causes a number of difficulties for Thomas, including difficulties communicating.
As a family we have been trying to get Thomas a hi tech communication device in order to enable him to communicate his needs effectively and socialise with family and friends, as well as making decisions for him self and having a voice of his own.
We initially tried to get a device through speech and language services but this has been unsuccessful.
During lockdown Thomas was able to loan a device and had alot of success using this for the three weeks he had it. As a result, the family would now like to purchase a device for Thomas to use at home, college and out in the community.
We have received a quote for £8142 and so would like to raise as much as possible to help towards these costs.
