£40raised of £40 target by 2 supporters

Weʼre raising £40 to cover the cost of paint and other art supplies for a community art project in Impact One Initiative's library

What is crowdfunding?

Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.

The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.

Impact One Initiative is a non-profit organisation that transforms lives through the power of education. They work with the community schools in Ng'ombe, a compound in Lusaka, Zambia. These community schools are run by volunteers. They have no resources, training or funding to help with the education of children from Ng'ombe. Impact One Initiative works with these community schools to provide the resources they otherwise wouldn't receive.

In the Summer, I will be doing an internship with Impact One. During this time, I will being doing arts and crafts activities with some of the children from the community schools and the artwork they do will be used in murals on Impact One Initative's new resource centre.

This resource centre will allow access to reading books and teacher resources that can be borrowed. This community art project will be used to promote creativity, self esteem and to promote the library itself.

This is what the library looks like:

You can take a look at their website for futher information and stories about how edcuation can transform live -
