Story

Our hall has some amazing space, our estate has some amazing people, and our people have some amazing kids who really want to take part in Boxing Classes.

Me and my friend, who is also a keen Boxer, usually practice in the open green or the shed area of the estate, and have often had kids come up and ask if we could do some Boxing Classes. We would love to coach them, and we have a fully qualified coach who teaches the group of kids nearby at another hall, which is fully funded by the Committee themselves.

Fortunately, enough, I’ve been fighting hard to reopen this old hall which has been unused for a few years, but still in good condition. I believe it is a perfect location to do some boxing classes, as you can see from my photo. I've bought in my own bag and some gloves, and the people have had a few goes. They are punching for more!

Unfortunately, we just don't have the equipment, and I’m getting more and more requests from Parents that their kids are too keen to join. If we can get this equipment, then we can definitely get this up and running. We need Bags, gloves, pads, whiteboards, heavy ropes, skipping ropes, medicine and slam balls - anything to get our group fit and healthy.

Please note, these sessions are not to teach how to fight. They are there to be fun, to build fitness, to build confidence and to bring people together - building peer to peer relations, being able to integrate and respect the Teacher and mannerisms. We teach to leave the ego and aggressiveness outside. We aim to keep our sessions non contact and non competitive. Again, its not teaching people how to fight, or push them into the ring. Boxing require one to be very fit.

Please help our community by helping us work bringing these activities to these young groups.
