Story

We are raising money for two phenomenal charities; The Alzheimer's Society and Community Integrated Care.

Our colleagues, People we support and families are invited to join us on the 9th September to take part in the "Liverpool Memory Walk" at Croxteth park where all money raised will be split between these two very worthwhile causes

Community Integrated Care - We Care Fund

We are raising much needed funds for Community Integrated Care's "We Care" fund - enabling our colleagues across our services to apply for grants to improve and enhance the lives of the people they support. This could be a sensory project, planning a day trip or to purchase assistive technology.

The Alzheimer's Society

Here at Community Integrated care we want to contribute to the outstanding work the Alzheimer's society do day in day out, just by delaying dementia by five years would halve the number of deaths from the condition, saving 30,000 lives a year.

Sadly many of us have experience of a loved one, relative, family friend, colleague or neighbour living with dementia.
There are 850,000 people with dementia in the UK, with numbers set to rise to over 1 million by 2025. This will soar to 2 million by 2051 and 225,000 will develop dementia this year - That’s one every three minutes!!

The Alzheimer's Society is committed to spending at least £150 million over the next decade on dementia research to improve care for people today and find a cure for tomorrow. This includes £50 million to develop the UK’s first dedicated Dementia Research Institute.

Please dig deep and give whatever you can.
