Weʼre raising £1,800 to fund the MRI scans for our 6 Companion Spaniels for Chiari-like Malformation and Syringomyelia (CM/SM).
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Healthy Spaniels for 21st Century Living
Our primary aim is to produce healthy Spaniels with improved head conformation, eliminating Chiari-like Malformation & Syringomyelia (CMSM), as well as early onset Mitral Valve Disease (MVD) & with a temperament suitable for 21st century living.
As breeders of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, which suffer a high prevalence of many of the worst conditions, we wanted to do more than simply follow the recommended breeding guidelines aimed at reducing their incidence over time.
With this in mind, we set up the Companion Spaniel Project and now have our first litter of six ready for their first MRI scans at two years old. The litter are Cavalier King Charles Spaniel crossed with a Working Cocker spaniel.
