Story

Nsukamini irrigation scheme is a very productive project with the potential of lifting many families out of poverty and food insecurity. However, for lack of transport to take their produce to markets, the farmers are being exploited by middlemen from the city who resell their produce at market prices, robbing the farmers of their profits.

Some farmers have given up farming and resorted to illegal gold mining which is risky, dangerous and not sustainable.

Compassion for Communities (charity no. 1169275), is appealing for your assistance to help the community break away from exploitation.
