Story

Struggling to move on after workplace bullying?

It took several years for me to really acknowledge what a devastating impact workplace bullying had on me - both on my physical and emotional health, and my finances. I struggled for a long time, battling with anger, frustration, and a huge sense of injustice. I didn't know where to turn for help. Yes, I'd followed policies and procedures, and even got a solicitor involved, but at the end of the day, I had no option but to leave while the bully stayed - and remains to this day - in his well paid job. For me, when I finally gave up the fight and left, I felt all alone. My confidence and self belief was destroyed. Applying for jobs, never mind going to interviews, craeted panic attacks and waves of nausea.

Eventually I found ways to recover, but it took a long time. Eventually I gathered the courage to set up my own business as a coach and trainer. That developed into Conduct Coaching which specialises in the prevention of workplace bullying, harassment and cyberbullying. Even then, I didn't think that I was doing enough, so I founded Conduct Change, campaigning and advocating for change in the way bullying is dealt with in the workplace.

I don't ever want anyone else to go through what I went through, so now I want to offer support for anyone who finds themselves struggling emotionally and financially after having to leave a job due to workplace bullying. That's why I'm offering programmes (face to face and online) to help them move on, regain their confidence, increase their resilience, and find their strength again. It will all be offered on a pay as you are able basis, with no pressure to pay - just a pledge that if they're able to contribute in the future to help someone else, they will.

I need your help to get this project off the ground, and to train more people to be able to deliver programmes in the future through an organisation with true social purpose that keeps the values of being heard, valued and trusted at its core.

If you have ever experienced bullying, or know anyone else that has been through this, then please support today. I promise to use every penny to help people through these programmes. Let them know that they are not alone.

I’ve been bullied at work & suffered how you did. Court appearances, which I won but ultimately I had to leave & the three men remained. I’ve worked though this & I’m now a coach so I want to help too
