RIGHT THEN, LISTEN UP PEOPLE

THE YORKSHIRE THREE PEAKS - 7 TIMES IN 7 DAYS - FOR LITTLE LENNOX

I'm gonna tell you about something that's close to my heart and why I need your support...

Meet Lennox - he's 12 years old and since May this year, this brave little warrior has been fighting osteosarcoma cancer in his arm. FIVE rounds of chemotherapy he's already had, trying to stop it from spreading into his body so they can try and save his arm or potentially amputate his arm to save his life.

Right now, as I'm writing this, Lennox is stuck in Sheffield Children's Hospital 80-90% of his time. Imagine being 12 years old, cooped up in a little room all day on chemotherapy when you should be out playing football, fishing, causing mischief, being a proper little lad. We can only begin to imagine how isolating and scary this must feel for him and the family.

His stepdad Drew is traveling to and from London, and all over the country most days because he can't stop working, coming back every night to relieve Zoey (Lennox's mum) so she can get a few hours rest. This family is going through absolute hell.

SO HERE'S WHAT I'M DOING:

THE YORKSHIRE THREE PEAKS - 7 TIMES IN 7 DAYS

That's:

• 24.5 MILES x 7 = 171.5 MILES of hiking

• 5,200 FEET x 7 = 36,400 FEET of elevation gain

• That's higher than climbing Mount Everest from base camp (17,600ft) TWICE

• Equivalent to climbing the Eiffel Tower 109 TIMES

• Or walking up 7,280 flights of stairs

• Burning approximately 35,000+ calories

Each day I'll be tackling:

• Pen-y-ghent (2,277ft)

• Whernside (2,415ft)

• Ingleborough (2,372ft)

Most people struggle to do this ONCE. I'm doing it 7 days straight.

WHY AM I PUTTING MYSELF THROUGH THIS?

Because when I see what little Lennox and his family are going through, my "suffering" for 7 days is nothing compared to what they face every single day. Every blister, every aching muscle, every moment I want to quit - I'll think of that brave little lad stuck in a hospital bed fighting for his life.

There's nothing more important in this world than our children.

This isn't about me. This is about showing Lennox that his community has his back. That when life throws you the worst curveball imaginable, you don't face it alone.

CAN'T STOP, WON'T STOP - not when a 12-year-old boy with cancer needs our help.

IF ANY LOCAL COMPANIES WANT TO GET INVOLVED AND SUPPORT ME LIKE THEY ALWAYS DO, IT WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED. Drop me a message - let's show what happens when a community comes together for one of our own.

Every single penny raised goes directly to supporting Lennox and his family through this nightmare. Whether it's £5 or £50, it all adds up and it all matters.

Share this, spread the word, let's show this little warrior what Yorkshire grit looks like when we come together.
