**As Connie smashed her target within a few hours (thank you so much) we’ve changed the amount and she’s now hoping to raise £1,485 so that three children can access the Grief to Growth course! You’ve got this Connie!!

Connie is hoping to raise £495 by running 55 miles in April so that another child can benefit from the course that has helped her so much in her grief journey.

Her Daddy passed away when she was 5 years old. Connie had two lots of counselling and then we found Lucy from Love Life Again and her Grief to Growth course. Lucy helped Connie so much and throughout the 2025 year she was in a really good place.

New Years Day 2026 she found out that her Daddy died by suicide. This has been such a lot to process and understand. Connie has the most amazing network around her with her family, school and her dance family but she needed to go back and see Lucy where she has a safe space to process her grief. Lucy really is incredible.

Connie knows that not all families can afford to access this course, so of her own accord she spoke to Lucy about fundraising to hopefully get enough money for a child to access the same Grief to Growth course that she is doing.

Connie is a remarkable girl as even in her saddest times, she thinks of others whilst also recognising that this fundraising activity will help her as well as she continues her course. I am one very proud mummy!

So Connie will be running 55 miles in April. Her Daddy died just after his 55th birthday so that is the significance of the number. She has said she will try to do as many miles as she can and she is hoping that her family and friends will join her on her runs.
