I've raised £1500 to help fund my year with IJM in South Asia

Friends & supporters,
Time has flown by and January is nearly upon us! 2018 is going to be a year of big changes for me, full of exciting new things, as I prepare to go to do a year long internship with International Justice Mission in South Asia.
IJM's work in that region is focused on rescuing victims of bonded labour slavery: https://www.ijm.org/sites/default/files/fact-sheets/IJM-Casework-Fact-Sheets-Forced-Labor.pdf As well as rescuing enslaved individuals, IJM is working to transform the ways in which broken or ineffective justice systems work, by providing training and resources to local governments. In my role as Government Relations Intern I'll be joining that team, looking at longer-term, bigger-picture ways of tackling modern slavery.
As my internship (10-12 months long) is unpaid, I am aiming to fundraise the cost of my travel expenses over the next few months and would be hugely grateful for any contribution you can give. If extra money is raised beyond my travel costs, this will go towards living expenses once I am in there.
All my love & Happy New Year,
Connie
