I've raised £3000 to Donate to Alzheimers Society, Age Concern and The Royal Marsden to support all the amazing work they do.

Cookie's Monster Challenge!
Seeing lots of my friends and family take on various challenges for good causes, i've decided that its about time I had a go myself. I'm hoping that by taking on various physical challenges throughout 2018, such as the Parish Walk, Longest Day Longest Ride, The Anglesey 10k Run, a half marathon, 4 new years day dips and as many other events as I can manage, I can raise some money for some brilliant charities and i'll get fit and have some fun along the way! My lovely husband Jamie will also be taking part in some of the events, making it a team Cookie effort!
Although there are so many extremely deserving causes out there, I've chosen to support Alzheimer's Society (Isle of Man) in memory of my step-nanna Margaret Corkill, Age Concern (Isle of Man) for the work they do in the local community and The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity by way of a donation to Emmy Coates -Smile, Love and Be Kind fund (previously known as EJTandemonium). Although The Royal Marsden isn't an island charity, in my opinion it doesn't matter who does cancer research, as long as its happening! I've followed the story of Jake and Emmy Coates (with wet eyes and a wibbly lip). Jake was a fellow member of Vagabonds rugby club on the island and is an altogether top bloke. He married his childhood sweetheart Emmy, who faced a devastating cancer diagnosis. They battled together with every bit of courage and energy they had to throw at it. Sadly the illness took Emmy's life, but not before she and Jake raised a huge amount for the Royal Marsden, the hospital where Emmy was treated. Emmy inspired so many people with her bravery and her motto, "smile, love and be kind". Jake continues with Emmy's legacy and fundraising for The Royal Marsden.
More of their story can be found here (have some tissues at the ready to dry the tears!): www.mollivers.com
Please support me as I put myself through the mill in the coming year to help raise funds and awareness for 3 fantastically good causes.
