Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
Cookie is a 6 year old rabbit who has been through so much. We adopted him in 2015 because his owners could no longer care for him due to health problems.
when we adopted him he had ear mites and after treatment it left him with a lifetime ear infection in both ears.
in 2016 he suddenly collapsed and an emergancy vet treated him for onset pneumonia (caused by a very small amount of stress).
A year later our neighbour started harrasing us to the point he was calling the rspca on us nearly 3 times a day, which led to a lot of inspections and a lot of stress for cookie. Around the same time he fractured his hind leg and unfortunatley had to have it removed. He has adapted well on 3 paws.
We had to move house due to our neighbour and cookie dealt with all of the stress of moving (after having just lost a leg) brilliantly. it has been a year since we moved and cookies friends caught vhd2 a few months ago (even though they were vaccinated) and didnt survive- but cookie thankfully did.
overnight he suddenly developed advanced glaucoma and in the vets own words “his eyeball is exploding and will do within a week- probably less”. It will be £700 for the surgery but as we have an outstanding bill to pay for the funerals and lab analysis of all of our fallen bunnies the vets are insisisting on upfront payment for emergancy eye removal. We are in the process of applying for a mortgage so cannot get a short term loan to pay for the surgery and he needs the surgery immediatley.
