My friends daughter Cora is unable to walk without aids. She was born over 3 months premature and has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy and spasticity in her legs...she was born within 2 weeks of Harry my son... as a mum /parent you would do anything for your kids and it breaks my heart to see this little girl with that beautiful smile confined to these walking frames. The brilliant news is this doesnt have to be her life.... she will be able to run and walk unaided if she gets SDR treatment in America. Her parents have spoken to the Doctors and they have assessed Cora, this treatment will get rid of the spasticity in her legs and enable her to walk/run freely in the future. We need to raise £50,000 for this treatment!
I've decided to do a 10K Surf, Mud and Wave obstacle course to raise money to help this cause and my children's school Ysgol Dolgarrog who are in need of funds for various things, in particular Ysgol Feithryn.
This obstacle course is hard... it includes a swim in a freezing lagoon against surf waves, an obstacle course through mud, a run up 568 vertical steps alongside the pipes in Dolgarrog and a 5k run to finish. I'm a normal mum of 2, I'm not some super fit athlete... so this is huge for me but I'm going to give it my all. I've started training and I've got 2 months till D Day..... please, please sponsor me and help both of these great causes! Thank you.
