On 5th September, my friend Oli and I have been training hard for our first ever white collar boxing fight, and we’ve decided to take on this challenge to raise money for my close family friend, Joanne Riden. We are stepping into the ring and have been putting ourselves through the blood, sweat and tears of training and would like to help raise money towards Jo's Just Giving fund.

Jo was diagnosed with Stage 4 Glioblastoma in November 2025, a terminal brain tumour. This devastating news came less than five years after Jo lost her husband, and her girls lost their devoted dad. 💔 Her full story can be seen on her Just Giving Page.

Jo is currently receiving treatment through the NHS and is facing an incredibly difficult journey. While she remains determined and hopeful, she is also having to prepare for the possibility that NHS treatment options may eventually run out. She would then like to explore specialist treatments abroad, which can come with significant financial costs.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, could make a real difference and will go towards Jo's fundraising, helping Jo access potential treatment options and giving her and her family some much needed support during this incredibly difficult time.
