It may be a long way off, but let's plan for Christmas 2017.
Remember when Corringham Town Centre was festive and inviting? We have a great community and so many lovely shops. Let's be proud of Corringham once more and make it place to enjoy.
The previous lights are no longer fit for purpose. A sub-committee linked to the Corringham, Fobbing and Homesteads Community Forum are hoping to raise funds for the project via Thurrock's Community Develpment Fund. Local shopkeepers are also being invited to contribute.
If they great people of Corringham and Stanford-le-Hope can raise £2000, then we can apply for a grant of £18,000. If we are unsuccessful in raising enough or being awarded the grant, then the money raised will go towards Christmas trees and smaller decorations.
Any donation is welcome, from the smallest to the more significant.
