    Story

Corsham Hockey Club needs your help to support the training of our Junior Coaches. We have 7 regular coaches who are all volunteers and we are sending them on an England Hockey Introduction to Hockey Coaching Course in January (this costs £90 per coach). We would also like to fund one of our lead coaches to achieve the highest EH qualification - UKCC England Hockey Coach course (this costs an eye watering £460).

On 7th December lots of our young players will be doing a sponsored fun run around the hockey astroturf at the Springfield Community Campus. Each child can set their own target to see how many laps they can complete in the 45 minute time limit. Please sponsor them and send them encouragement as they take on this challenge. There will also be other hockey-related challenges on the day.

Corsham Hockey Club has about 100 players who are U18. We are committed to being an inclusive club and want to encourage young players of all ages and abilities to enjoy playing hockey and to get the most out of their training every week. To fulfill this vision we need to develop our coaches so they can plan and deliver the best training sessions possible. We already have some sponsorship from Bellway Homes but since then we have more people involved coaching so we need to raise more money!

Any extra funds raised will go towards buying new equipment for the Junior section. We always need more hockey balls, cones, etc. In addition, we would like to buy more First Aid Kits and masks so that every squad (U8s, U10s, U12s and U14s) has their own (we currently only have 2 first aid kits and 2 sets of masks for the whole junior section).

Thank you in advance for your generosity.
