I run the Design & Technology department at The Costello School, since the beginning of the lockdown in England, we have been able to make visors to support with the shortage of PPE for the NHS and other front line workers. We have made 3,632 so far, these have been donated to NHS staff at North Hampshire Hospital, local GP surgeries, chemists, ambulance stations, fire services, care homes, district nurses as well as some local charities. The school has been incredibly supportive of us using equipment & materials from school stock and we have had some support from a local business. We feel so privileged to be in the position to help, our key workers are desperate for PPE, some are so grateful, they are moved to tears, it makes us want to do more. We can do more, we want to and are able to do more, we can also make scrubs for NHS staff but we are running out of materials. My colleagues and I have given our time freely but we cannot use the school budget to buy more materials so without your support we will sadly have to stop! If you are able to help support us with a small donation we can carry on making the PPE needed to help keep our key workers safe. Our key workers in our community are supporting you, please, if you can, do something to support them.
