Story

A great tragedy has struck our home, children in the UK are being seen starving in rags on the streets. Their skin crusted and their bones visible. Why they ask? It is the result of inflation. The cost of living crisis dawned at the start of 2021 and has only strengthened with each passing day. Now a horror unfolds as a record breaking 3.7 million accounts of children’s lives driven to poverty have been acknowledged. No doubt having a devastating and lasting impact on their mental health. But sadly, it is the least of their worries as winter steadfastly approaches and with no protection there is little chance they will last the season.

Our Goal: To help support our chosen beneficiaries in nurturing our future generation with emergency food, supplies and education through donations and our annual fundraising walk.

Fundraising Walk Event

Our walk begins on September 25th 2022 to register click here, but you can help now with a small donation.

Beneficiaries

3Food4U - A charity community hub run entirely by volunteers providing basic groceries and essentials to those in need. Treating people humanely with dignity and respect without the need for assessment or referral. Find out more: https://3food4u.org/.

Your donation will help gather supplies and food to help save children from starvation and potential life-threatening conditions.

PAPA Foundation - PAPA Foundation uplifts and upholds people through the GenNext educational initiative. In partnership with the Ghana Book trust they had supplied 500 reading books to the Bieni Community Library in the Easter Region of Ghana. The foundation also supplied revision materials and textbooks to final year Junior High School students towards their final year examinations. The students are currently in the Senior High School, and PAPA foundation continues to raise funds to support their learning and digital skills development during holidays. Students need to purchase recommended textbooks, and the foundation seeks to purchase and make available recommended textbooks at the library, and digital skills. With this pilot, the foundation seeks to extend its activities to other rural community libraries in Ghana.

Your donation will help fund access to quality routers so that the children will be able to access the vast knowledge of the internet. Helping to better shape their futures.

Learn more about the cause

What is the cost of living crisis?

The UK cost of living crisis is a period starting in 2021 in which prices for many essential goods in the United Kingdom began increasing faster than household income, resulting in a fall in real income. This is caused in part by a rise in inflation in the UK.

How is the government planning on tackling the crisis?

The Government is providing a £15 billion energy bill rebate package, worth up to £550 each for around 28 million households. All domestic energy customers in Great Britain will receive a £400 grant to help with the cost of their energy bills through the Energy Bill Support Scheme.
